Compression Pistons
Pistons are machined to exacting tolerances from
wrought aluminum for high strength and low weights. Simple design
makes piston end clearance easily adjustable.
Distance Piece
Open design provides 100% oil free air. Piston rod
overtravel from oil seal area never enters the compression cylinder.
Intercooler
Steel finned copper tubing offers excellent interstate
cooling on air cooled models. Oversized brazed tube bundle intercoolers
offer extended ilfe for water cooled models.

Piston Rings
Compression and guide rings of carbon-graphite Teflon
composites provide exceptionally long life. Additional PTFE composites
available for heavy duty service.
Piston Rod Oil Seals
Hard chrome plated allow steel piston rods run against
multiple self adjusting metallic type packings to positively contain
the oil in the crankcase.
Loadless Start
Loadless starting is standard on each stage for
decreased startup wear. Constant speed unloading is available.

Con-Rods
Connecting Rods of lightweight aluminum allow offer
high strength and pressurized lubrication to wrist pin bearings except
on the AN6 |
Main Bearings
Oversized tapered roller bearings give many years
of reliable service. |
Crankcase Lubrication
Lubrication is full pressure throughout the riffle
drilled crankshaft for extended bearing life on all models except
the AN6. Spin on oil filter is standard.
