HydraSaver Closed Circuit Fluid Cooler

  • Eliminate Water Utility Expense
  • Eliminate Sewer Tax Expense
  • Prevent Business Interruptions Due To Local Water Restrictions
  • Prevent Corrosion
  • Remove Heat Energy

The AIRTEK Hydra Saver is a self-contained closed circuit fluid cooler specifically designed to remove heat from water cooled machinery while eliminating the utility expense and sewer tax associated with industrial cooling water.

The Hydra Saver can recover and put to use heat energy that would normally be wasted.

Because it is a closed system, the Hydra Saver will significantly reduce maintenance expense by eliminating the need to boil or clean water jackets and heat exchangers. The Hydra Saver requires no make up water or chemical treatment

To measure, IN TERMS OF MONEY, the savings a Hydra Saver can provide, consider that a 100 horse power air compressor will use 20 gallons of cooling water per minute (GPM). Based on a 24 hour work shift, six-day work week, and $1.00 per thousand gallons of water, plus $1.00 per thousand gallons sewer tax, the total water utility expense for one year would amount to $17,971.00.

Based on a $3.00 per thousand cubic feet of natural gas and a 800 BTU per cubic foot and a 30 week heating season, the heat value potential for one year would amount to $4,312.00.

At $0.08 per KWH, a properly sized Hydra Saver would cost $1,738.00 per year to operate. Taking the operating cost into consideration, the Hydra Saver would return $ 20,545.00 annually and would pay for itself in under six months. Please contact us for sizing, sales@tideair.com
